Long Grove Artists Guild Something About the Color Red Art Show

The Long Grove Artists Guild will again be hosting “Something About the Color Red,” an art show festival beginning from February 21 – March 8, 2015 on weekends Noon – 5 p.m. at the lower level “Speakeasy” at the Historic Village Tavern in Long Grove.(Building 45; 135 Old McHenry Rd.). The art show will be an ode to the color red and the many significant meanings and emotions it evokes. The show was such a great success last year, the Long Grove Artists Guild is ecstatic to bring it back again for this upcoming year.

The show will be a fundraiser for the American Heart Association and the Long Grove Arts & Music Council. A percentage of all entry fees will be donated to the American Heart Association by the Long Grove Artists Guild & the Long Grove Arts & Music Council. Plus, 20% of each art sale will benefit the Long Grove Arts & Music Council.

The Long Grove Artists Guild values artistic expression and bringing together artists who are interested in exploring the creative process. Through this process, the Artists Guild hopes to facilitate a supportive environment for artists of all levels and ages. Visual artwork in all media, styles and genre will be accepted into the show.

The Opening Artists Reception, hosted by the Long Grove Arts & Music Guild, will be on February 21, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at The Village Tavern. Everyone is invited! After exploring the exhibit, the public is invited to stay for meal at The Village Tavern or dine at one of our fine restaurants in Long Grove including Enzo & Lucia Italian Restaurant, Long Grove Café Restaurant and Chatterbox. Immerse yourself into a range of delightful small businesses around town and fully experience Long Grove’s charm.
